13 in 2013

Hey! Thanks for checking out my website. I’m G.S. Wright, Author. I’ve been writing for many, many years, have a handful of short stories published, and this is the year that I’m releasing my novels.

It’s January 1st, 2013, and that means it’s time for resolutions. I have several, but I’m only focusing on one.

13 novels in 2013.

Yep, that’s right! I plan to release 13 novels this year, minimum.

Resolutions should be short term and manageable though. Therefore, there will be three books released between now and the end of March. I plan to be waaaay a head of that, but again, bite-sized progress.

I used to have a goal of 2000 words per day, but I write for a living, and this site holds me accountable. Therefore, here’s how this is going to break down:

1). 5000 words a day minimum, 1000 words an hour. 1000 words isn’t much and very achievable, and leaves time for daydreaming. I would like to see 10,000 daily words though.

2). Always keep the novel moving. I need to get away from short stories, so therefore, 5000 words a day must be applied to a novel. Anything beyond that can go to other stuff.

Thanks for joining me, you are going to hold me accountable on this ride. If you are on Facebook, please look up my group – G.S. Wright – Author.

As for today, I hit 5000 words before starting this post, and I hope to be able to share my first full-length novel with you in the first part of this month. As I’m just launching this site, I’m not going to plug my book yet, but I will in the coming days.
