What do you do when pirates kidnap you for a ransom and a mad scientist injects you with a powerful and inevitably fatal concoction of aether?

You get revenge.
Matilda Katrine Myra is no one special, but her pirate abductors don’t know that. When they boldly kidnap her from an airship and sweep her away into the deadly wasteland of mutants and poisonous radiation, her life becomes a day to day battle to evade death.

And she’s much closer to death than ever. A mad scientist has injected her with toxic condensed aether, the air of the gods, and now she’ll need frequent doses just to survive each day. With a dwindling supply, she’ll have to battle mutants, mad scientists, pirates, and the spirits of the dead.

The tool of her fate, a gauntlet feeding the condensed aether into her veins, is also a potent weapon. It can focus the aether into a death ray. She can also see the dead, women who suffered the fate Matilda is fighting to avoid.

Along with a wasteland traveler and his clockwork dragon as her only allies, and despite the powers gifted to her by the aether, the one thing she doesn’t have is time.

With passion and intrigue, adventure and swashbuckling in an apocalyptic world, Apocalypse Witch is a dystopian steampunk adventure of non-stop excitement. This novel collects the three books of the Apocalypse Witch Trilogy, Apocalypse Witch, Memento Mori, and Shadow Falls.

Shadow Falls, Apocalypse Witch Book 3 Is Here!

Yes, the third book in the Apocalypse Witch series, Shadow Falls, is now available! Through this week, you can acquire and read it digitally for $.99 through Amazon.

AW3 shadowfalls
What do you do when each day might be your last? You find those responsible and make them pay.

Matilda’s revenge is almost at hand, if she can just survive long enough to see it through. Her path leads to Shadow Falls, a dark city in the shadow of the Citadel, a second city on a floating island high above the other. All that stands in her way is the ever-present threat of spirit possession, a mad scientist, and a Mask – all of which have their own plans for her.

If she somehow miraculously succeeds, the cities might not –

-because an apocalypse witch always heralds doom.

Available now on Amazon!

Again, right now it’s only $.99. If you haven’t read book 1, it is also currently free (for just a few more days), and book 2 is $.99 (again, only for a week).

Apocalypse Witch 3 Update

Sign up here to get an email when my next book is released: http://eepurl.com/bmlfd

This is just a quick update on Apocalypse Witch 3. One of my proofreaders feels the book needs expanded in several places, and I’m inclined to agree. That’s the kind of feedback I like from my proofreaders. Though that means it will be a bit longer before release, it also means a longer book. As always, click the email sign-up below if you want to be the first to be notified upon its release. Honestly, it’s not that far away.

On a different note, I’m also thinking of changing my Writer’s Life posts. I’m having difficulty juggling writing and working for the post office, so I’m trying to restructure my time to make it all work. Stay tuned. 😉

Broken Things in One Book One School

Yesterday the Magic Valley High School in Twin Falls kicked off their One Book One School program. This is a program where both staff and students read the same book, 30 minutes a day, for several weeks. They are then holding two contests: an essay and a presentation.

What is particularly exciting (for me) is that they’ve chosen my novel Broken Things for the program. I delivered 200 signed copies to the school last Thursday, and I will also participate in a meet and greet later this month with all of the students.

I released Broken Things in 2013, and this is quite an honor to be chosen (they could have chosen from any of the classics or more widely known authors). A heartfelt special thanks to Ms. Miller for getting the book attention, the rest of the faculty for their support, and to the school and students. You all are awesome. 🙂

Month 1 Update

January’s over. It’s time to modify my goals and see where I want to go based on what I accomplished.

First off – What January Was –

In January, I completed 2 short stories, Spilling Blood ep. 11, Apocalypse Witch book 3, a and 20k novella under a pen name. I hit the word count target for Hungry Gods book 3, though the rough draft won’t be finished for a few more days (it’s going to come close to 60k). Editing is taking a while, I have 3 books in the editing stage. It is what it is.

I wrote 103,398 words in January. I averaged 3,335 words a day. That’s better than the 2,750 word low target (which is enough for 1 mil words for the year). I averaged 1,746 words per hour.

My most popular book with sales for January was Spilling Blood Season II. My most popular book in Kindle Unlimited was Soul Sister.

My Quote of the Day and Daily Writing Prompt Posts are going away. I will keep them on Twitter only. The posts aren’t popular, so I’m not going to keep them alive any longer.

ON TO FEBRUARY!!!

February is set up to be a home run. I have three books about ready to publish. I’ll be editing Hungry Gods 3 for most of the month (after it’s completed this week). I will also start writing a new novel today.

I want to put January’s Word Count to shame, so I’m going to shoot for 4k-5.5k. I want to keep taking it up each month.

What else for February – Spilling Blood ep. 12, and a few pen name projects. I’ve got the word count room for more stories, but I haven’t decided what, exactly. It won’t be starting anything else until SB12 is done, anyway.

(Last day to get Spilling Blood ep. 1 for Free).
